Peace Week 2017

I have been learning about Peace Week.
Peace Week is an annual tradition organised by The Peace Foundation

hevery year. You can learn more about The Peace Foundation by following this LINK.

As a way to learn about Peace Week I did three different Peace Week activities.

With Miss Brennan we created a poster to help promote peace and Peace Week.
With Mrs Baker we made hand print doves and wrote messages of peace on them.
With Mr Horn we looked at the symbols of peace such as the dove and created origami doves.

Here is an example of one of my activities

Student Led Conference Term 2

Student Led Conference Term 2
I liked my student led conference because I got to share my Reading and Maths. I liked sharing my maths because I got to play a maths game with my mum.

Recorder

We are learning to understand musical notation and apply this on the recorder.

Great work Isabella and everyone in Room 2!

The Writing Process

I am learning to
  • write a report
  • I will know that I am successful when I have
  • helped my audience to know a lot about something (how to keep safe in the sun).
  • Included many important topic words.

We were writing about sun safety. To help us develop our ideas we made a sun safety collage: we had to protect the stick figure from the sun. This helped us with our ideas for our writing.

Showing the Community CARE Value

I am showing the Community CARE value by helping to keep our classroom clean and tidy.

3D Shape Properties

I am learning about the properties of 3D shapes.

I will know I am successful when:
     I can construct a 3D shape.
I can describe the properties of my 3D shape.

Mathletics Class of the Week for New Zealand

We are learning to practice our maths skills.

We know we have been successful because we won the prize for being the best
Mathletics class in New Zealand for the week.

Great work Isabella and everyone in Room 2!

The Classroom of the Future

We are learning about 'what changes we could make to our learning environment?'

We will know we have been successful when:

We have thought of some ideas for changes we would like to make.
We have produced a model that includes these ideas.

Clever model Isabella, well done!
